About

Dear Visitor:

My name is Lisa Conner and I have lived in Alaska for over thirty years and I am very excited to share my love for the last Frontier.  I am a proud mother of three beautiful souls (ages eleven, seven and five), happily married (since 1991) to the quintessential Alaska man, grateful for my real estate business (since 2000), community volunteer, aspiring author, and mostly an adventurous spirit eager to continue this amazing journey called Life.  I hope my story inspires you to consider your dreams and find your own path to a simpler and more fulfilling life.

I’d love to hear your comments as we travel together and learn from one another.  Thank you for visiting me today!

    Hi Lisa,
What an awesome adventure you and your family have chosen.
Being from Massachusetts, I can not help but to think of the many quotes of Thoreau who was also a teacher.
“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
    — Henry David Thoreau (Walden: Or, Life in the Woods)

    Wishing you the best!

Dan, you could not have said it better. I often think of Thoreau and can certainly appreciate his profound love of nature. Our cabin represents all that Nature has to offer us. I am grateful for the gift I’ve been given to enjoy this time in my life.

    Hello Lisa,

Thank you for reaching deep into your soul and taking the risk to share your dreams with us… the lucky ones who have read your blog and have come to know you. I so enjoyed exploring your new life in Big Lake, and since I have had the pleasure to get to know you a little bit, really appreciated your style and candor, and love and respect for others that comes through your message.

I wish you much success with your new book, and saw that Bronwyn re-connected with you.

    Empowering Regards,

    Bob
